Natchez — Natchez artists, a harp and flute duet known as Musica Divina, have released a self-titled Christmas CD. Sisters Merisha and Robin Townsend offer peaceful music for the holiday season. Songs were carefully selected to reflect the traditional Christmas season beginning with the expectancy of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” and concluding with the triumphant joy of “O Holy Night”. Also included are the well loved “Hark the Harold Angels Sing” and “Silent Night” as well as many others.
Musica Divina is a Natchez duet that plays regionally at weddings and other special events. The sisters are from the New Orleans area and their family has made their home in Natchez. They have played at historic homes in Natchez and in their native New Orleans.
CD’s are available in downtown Natchez at Seasons Home Decor and Gifts, 406 Franklin Street; Turning Pages, 520 Franklin Street; and Natchez Coffee Co., 509 Franklin Street.
