FERRIDAY – Services for Billy Hugh Buckles, 57, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Abundant Life Church with the Rev. John Collard officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.

Mr. Buckles was born May 8, 1950, in Natchez. He lived in Ferriday for 15 years. He was employed as a head-driver with Northeast Louisiana Marine Institute in Tallulah, La. Mr. Buckles was a member of Abundant Life Church.

Survivors include his wife, Irma J. Buckles of Ferriday; sons, Jamie Wane of Tallulah, Michael Lane and Troy Dale, both of Vidalia; sister, Mildred Weathersby of Natchez; brother, Robert A. Buckles of Natchez; favorite niece, Cierra Buckles of Natchez; grandchildren, Blake A. Sanders, Caleb T. Sanders, Nene Sanders, Daisy C. Sanders, Brock A. Sterling, MoMo and Peter Rabbit; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joey Norris, Aron Buckles, Erick Guillot, Timmy Day, Robert Day and Robbin Fuller.
