NATCHEZ — Natchez police responded to a vehicle burglary on Seargent S. Prentiss Drive Wednesday.
The vehicle was parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and the victim reported that when he returned to the vehicle an envelope that was sitting on the seat had been opened and an unactivated credit card had been taken from it, reports at the police department said.
The burglary is not believed to be related to recent vehicular burglaries downtown, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
Eight car burglaries were reported in December on several downtown streets.
Five house burglaries have also been reported, four downtown.
