NATCHEZ — A car was shot in a drive-by shooting Monday evening, but no injuries were reported.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call that five shots had been fired at 127 Otis Redding Road, ACSO Investigator Ricky Stevens said.

Two of the bullets struck the ground near a car parked at the residence, and three bullets struck the car.

Four unidentified suspects were in the car from which the bullets were fired, Stevens said.

The shooting’s victim said he did not know who the shooters were, but they had reportedly had an altercation earlier in the day, Stevens said.

The matter is under investigation.
