VIDALIA — A Wildsville man was arrested Monday after allegedly committing sexual acts involving a physically handicapped person.

Jackson M. Ellard III, 26, of Wildsville, was arrested on charges of 20 counts of sexual battery of the infirm.

The alleged battery reportedly took place at various times between September and December 2007, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kathleen Stevens said.

Ellard is being detained on a $201,750 bond set by the Seventh District Court in Vidalia.
