FERRIDAY – Services for Gene Autry McKeel, 53, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Deliverance Temple Full Gospel Church, in Ferriday, with the Rev. Jennie Kimble officiating.
Burial will be Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. McKeel was born Sept. 9, 1953, in Frogmore, La., the son Gabe and Rosie Lee Lemons McKeel. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include his children, Torrence Perrins and Jessica McKeel, both of Milwaukee, Wisc.; brothers, Barney McKeel, William McKeel and Archie Curry, all of Ferriday; sisters, Bobbie McKeel, Ethel C. Green, both of Ferriday, Rosie L. McKeel and Bertha McKeel, both of Milwaukee and Linda Meads of Killeen, Texas; grandchildren, Zion Perrins and Faith Lynn McKeel, both of Milwaukee; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
