Herbert Orth

VIDALIA – Services for Herbert Orth, 62, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. today at Vidalia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Berry Dennis officiating.

Burial will follow at Rosetta Cemetery, in Rosetta, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.

Mr. Orth was born Dec. 7, 1945, in Seigen, Germany, the son of Gertrude Orth Corson. He was the owner/broker of Herb Orth Real Estate. He was a graduate of Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Ga., and also served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and great-aunt, Hannah Orth.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen Orth, of Vidalia; sons, Bradley Orth and wife, Becky, both of Roanoke, Va. and Brett Orth and wife, Sabrina, both of Vidalia; daughters, Shannon Parker and husband, Fred, and Becky Lipscomb and husband, Alan, all of Natchez; and grandsons, Sam Parker, Kyle Orth, Ryan Orth, Stacy Parker and John G. Patrick.

Pallbearers will be Darwin Klar, Tommy Klar, T.A. Jackson III, Gary Morgan, Joe Evers and Roy Rushing.
