Ferriday police officer involved in accident

NATCHEZ — On Jan. 10, at approximately 10 a.m., a Ferriday Police Officer was involved in an accident, in Natchez, that sent the officer and his passenger to the hospital, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
Mullins said he believes the two were only taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Mullis said the officer, Michael Bell, was traveling East on John R. Junkin Drive when a car traveling West turned in front of his cruiser.
The driver of the second car was Woodrow Case of Clayton, 47. Bell is an officer in Ferriday but resides in Natchez.
Ferriday Police Chief Richard Madison refused to comment on the accident.
