FERRIDAY — Two teens were arrested Tuesday after allegedly kidnapping and forcing a young girl to perform sex acts on them.
Brelin Cage, 17, 303 Kennedy Drive, Clayton, was arrested on charges of simple kidnapping and forcible rape.
A 16-year-old male was also arrested in relation to the matter, Ferriday Police Chief Richard Madison said.
Because he is currently being charged as a juvenile, the suspect’s name was not released Wednesday.
The police responded to the alleged crime at approximately 5:30 p.m. when a patrol officer picked up the victim as she was walking down the road.
The two suspects allegedly made the victim, who was in the general area of the Concordia Parish Library, get into a car with them against her will, Madison said.
The suspects allegedly took her to the old Roger’s Brothers mill yard where they reportedly forced her to perform oral sex, Madison said.
The victim was then allowed to leave the scene, Madison said.
After getting a statement from the victim, the police were able to identify the two suspects by their car and several items in it, which included a gun.
The police are trying to determine if the gun was used in the commission of the crime, Madison said.
The car was located in the parking lot of Ferriday High School.
Madison said he did not know if the victim previously knew the suspects.
The 16-year-old suspect is being detained until he can be magistrated before a juvenile judge.
Cage, who was charged as an adult, is being detained on a $175,000 bond.
