Matthew Warren, son of Robert and Holly Kendrick of Pensacola, Fla., and Brian Hill of Vidalia, recently was chosen for the Florida All State Middle School Band held in Tampa, Fla.

He has also been chosen for the All County Middle School Band in Pensacola for the second year.

Matthew is an eighth grader at Ransom Middle School in Cantonment, Fla., where he plays trombone in the Symphonic band, Jazz band and Brass Quintent.

He is also the grandson of Jerry and MaryAnn Warren and James and Caroline Hill of Natchez.
