GLOSTER – Services for Clarence William Hazlip, 65, of Wilkinson County, who died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at his sister’s residence in Catahoula Parish, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Father Patrick Smith and the Rev. Marlin Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at Rosetta Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hazlip was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Wilkinson County, the son of James Barney Hazlip and Gracie Leake Hazlip. He was a retired forman for the Ethyl Corporation.
Mr. Hazlip was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Barney Hazlip Jr.; and a very special aunt, Betty Foreman.
Survivors include one sister, Norma Hazlip Leake of Catahoula Parish; two nephews, Kenny Leake and wife, Janet, both of West Monroe, La. and Cliff Leake and wife, Margaret, both of Bosier City, La.; one niece, Jeannie Vickers and husband, Brandon, both of Jena, La.; one uncle, Ed Leake and wife, Margie, both of Kettery Point, Maine; and a number of great-nephews; great-nieces, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Leake, Cliff Leake, Brandon Vickers, James Foreman, Mike Foreman and David Foreman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Sturdivant, Maxwell Sturdivant, James Johnson and Rod Carney.
