NATCHEZ – Services for Mahalia Brown, 81, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Archie C. Curtis Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Claiborne County, the daughter of Albert Brown and Earline Brown. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Loretta Brown; and two sons, Frank Brown and John Brown.
Survivors include one son, Foster Brown and wife, Solomia, both of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
