NATCHEZ — Former president of the Adams County Board of Supervisors Darryl Grennell said he will not run for mayor of Natchez.
He came to his decision Sunday.
“Right now I want to focus on my work with the board,” he said.
Grennell said he wants to be able to work on the board as the Rentech land closing comes to fruition in April.
“I have been with that project since day one and I want to see it through,” he said. “Right now that’s the best way I can serve the county.”
Grennell said people have been continuously asking him to run for mayor.
“I saw a tremendous amount of support and interest,” he said.
