MEADVILLE — Jody Herring with Herring Gas Company of Meadville was recently elected vice president of the Mississippi Propane Gas Association.

Herring has been actively involved in the association for many years serving on committees, chairing several important committees, and also holding other officer positions.

The Mississippi Propane Gas Association was founded in 1941 and represents propane dealers, suppliers and industry related businesses. Approximately 200 MPGA members are kept abreast of state and federal rules and regulations. They’re also given the opportunity to participate in educational and safety seminars.
