Meadeville — A single-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday, Feb. 7 resulted in the death of Morgan Seth Allen, 24, of 4964 McNair Road Northwest in Franklin County.

Franklin County Coroner Percy Peeler said the vehicle left the road and struck an oak tree on Hamburg Road, just before the intersection of Hamburg Road and McNair Road.

Allen was wearing a seat belt.

A man saw smoke coming up from the vehicle on the side of the road and placed a 911 call at 8:31 a.m.

An ambulance and a fire truck were the first to respond to the scene of the accident, Peeler said, and he was the next to be called.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Allen was employed by Jordan, Kaiser and Sessions Engineers in Natchez.

Marshall Funeral Home handled Allen’s services which were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
