Co-Lin Wesson to host medical program awareness day

WESSON — The medical programs at Copiah-Lincoln Community College will host their annual Medical Program Awareness Day on the Wesson Campus on Friday, Feb. 29, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Anderson Building.

High school seniors, counselors, teachers and parents are encouraged to come and explore four health care programs offered on Co-Lin’s Wesson Campus, Natchez Campus and Simpson County Center.

There is currently a shortage of medical personnel in the areas of medical radiologic technology (radiography), medical laboratory technology, practical nursing and respiratory care practitioner technology.

Anyone interested in a career in the medical field but is undecided as to which field to enter is encouraged to attend this program.

Students will have an opportunity to meet and talk with instructors and students presently in the program, tour classrooms and laboratories and participate in a question and answer session.

Information will be given concerning requirements for acceptance into the individual programs.
