NATCHEZ – Services for Catherine Drake Bondurant Prince, 80, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Brandt A. Dick officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Kuehnle Hall.
Mrs. Prince was born Oct. 17, 1927, the daughter of Albert Gay and Mollie Drake Bondurant. She was a graduate of Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, La., with a degree in home economic education and taught in West Feliciana and West Carroll parishes. After moving to Natchez in 1975, she worked as a tour guide and office manager for the Order of the First Families of Mississippi. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, William Dunbar Chapter DAR, associate member of Bruin-Vidal Chapter DAR, The Order of the First Families of Mississippi, Pilgrimage Garden Club and past member of the Evelyn Clark Circle of the King’s Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Fredrick Prince of Natchez; one sister, Mary Bondurant of St. Joseph, La.; and sister-in-law, Clotile Bondurant of Baker, La.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Ruth Prince of Natchez; two brothers, Albert Gay Bondurant of Baker, La. and Robert Kirk Bondurant of Quepor, Costa Rica; one niece, Cathy McHugh and husband, David, both of Zachary, La.; nephew, Albert W. Bondurant and wife, Lynn, both of Birmingham, Ala.; and three great-nephews, William Bondurant, Daniel Bondurant and Drake Bondurant, all of Birmingham, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Albert W. Bondurant, Daniel Bondurant, Drake Bondurant, William Bondurant, Audley Case, Michael Gray, David McHugh and Scott Nugent.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Gray.
The family wishes to express thanks to Dr. Clifford Tillman, Dr. Barry Tillman, the staff at Hospice Ministries and the staff at Professional Sitting Service.
