ST. JOSEPH, La. – Memorial services for Edna “Yvonne” Westbrook, 60, of St. Joseph, La., who died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center, in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Maryland Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating.
Memorial services will be under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Westbrook was born July 11, 1947, in Newellton, La., the daughter of Robert and Mary Westbrook. She was employed with Northeast Research Station for 20 years and was a member of Maryland Baptist Church. Yvonne loved the outdoors. Fishing and gardening were her favorite, in the order.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Chris Carnegie and wife, Jimmie Lynn, both of Rayville, La.; two sisters, Martha Sue Delancy of Utica and Barbara Ann Bass and husband, Wayne, both of St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Zach, Mason and Emma Grace Carnegie; two nieces, Crystal and Christian Bass; two nephews, Will Delancy and Chris Bass; and a number of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital or the Humane Society.
