NATCHEZ — The man who was shot in the leg, Sunday Feb. 10 at 4 p.m., has been charged with aggravated assault.

The bullet fired at Dwayne Young ripped through Young’s left upper thigh, exiting with such force that it continued its path through his right thigh.

Young was treated and released from Natchez Community hospital Feb. 12.

Young, 19, of 207-A Dumas Drive, was charged Wednesday.

He was arrested for firing at the other party, Gerry D. Byrd, 17, of 2-B Saragossa Road.

No bond has been set until arraignment.
