Woman leads officers on chase through Miss-Lou

NATCHEZ — A police chase that began in Ferriday ended in Natchez Friday night.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. Friday, the Natchez police received a call from the Ferriday Police Department that a vehicle they were pursuing was headed to Natchez, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.

The vehicle, driven by Jessie Mae Tolbert, 32, 25 Pintard St., crossed the bridge into Natchez and did not initially yield to the police, Mullins said.

Tolbert was eventually stopped on Government Fleet Road.

Tolbert was charged with resisting arrest. She was also charged with contempt of court failure to pay for a bench warrant.
