The Ferriday Trojans advanced to the regional round of the Class 2A playoffs with a 32-point win at home over Springfield last Friday night. But in the regional round, the 23-7 Trojans, the No. 6 seed, will be on the road as they will take on No. 22 seed Donaldsonville (13-16), which upset No. 11 seed South Beauregard 78-70.
The Jefferson County Tigers advanced to the MHSAA Class 3A Boys’ State Tournament at Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson with a 20-point win over Morton in the South State third-place game.
