FERRIDAY — Officials from the Attorney General’s Office are at Ferriday Town Hall and the building has been closed down and locked up.

No one from the AGs office at the scene would comment about the situation. Mayor Gene Allen denied earlier reports that computers had been removed from the building Wednesday afternoon.

An official with the AG’s office said the AG was offering technical assistance only to the legislative auditor in reviewing Town of Ferriday funds and expenditures.

No further information is available at this time. City officials are reportedly inside the building.
