WESSON – Services for Avery Lucian “Luc” Smith, 2, of Wesson, who died Monday, March 3, 2008, surrounded by his family and others who loved him very much, at King’s Daughters Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the church.
Luc was born Aug. 4, 2005, the son of Justin L. Smith and Kristie Smith. Throughout his life he touched many people. His “toughness” was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a light unto the world and he warmed many a cold heart. He proved to everyone how strong of a fighter he was, even until the end.
Survivors include his proud father; his loving mother; one adoring sister, Kelsa L. Powell of Wesson; grandparents, Pete and Betty Jeane Smith, both of Natchez and Gary and Kathy Winborne, both of Wesson; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins..
The family extends special thanks to his nurse, Lee Margaret Wall of Monticello; Dr. David Braden and all the staff of Brookhaven Children’s Clinic; Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children and King’s Daughters Hospital.
The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, memorials are sent to either Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children or The Ronald McDonald House in Jackson.
