FERRIDAY – Services for Lessie B. Neal Zeek, 75, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Field Memorial Hospital, in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Baptist Church, in Levee Heights, with Pastor Robert Strickland officiating.
Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Zeek was born June 27, 1932, in Knox, La., the daughter of Charlie and Viola Hawkins Neal. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Willie Zeek.
Survivors include five sons, Roger Zeek and Herbert Zeek, both of Vidalia, Elvie Zeek and wife, Blanche, both of Ferriday, Billy Zeek and David Zeek, both of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Deborah Polk and husband, Gill, both of Vidalia; Joyce Johnson, of Roxie, who she raised as a daughter; three brothers, Charlie Neal Jr. and wife, Ulla, John Neal and James Neal, all of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Cleo Hooper and husband, Edward, of Vidalia, Mary Turner and Savannah Neal, both of Baton Rouge; one grandchild; one godchild, Carol Armstead of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
