MEADVILLE — After failing to take advantage of scoring opportunities in the first two innings, Franklin County used an 11-run fourth inning to defeat Natchez High 15-0 Saturday afternoon.

The host Bulldogs used that big inning to 15-run rule the visiting Bulldogs after four innings. But it didn’t appear as if Franklin County (8-1) would get to that point that quickly.

“We stranded runners at second and third the first two innings. After the second inning, we made an adjustment,” Franklin County head coach Jeremy Loy said. “They responded. We hit the ball those last two innings.”

Franklin County scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning before its offensive explosion an inning later.

Ryne Tutor led the team’s 12-hit attack with a pair of doubles and Dehendrit Collins went 3-for-3 with a double in the game.

Winning pitcher Ben McDowell held Natchez High to just two hits over four innings.
