NATCHEZ – Graveside services for Phillis Smith Hale, 88, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Jason Cole officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hale was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Lincoln County, the daughter of Harvey and Virgie Hart Smith. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Phil Hale and wife, George Ann, both of Natchez; one daughter, Suzanne Phillips and husband, Steve, both of Madison; five grandchildren, Brian Hale, Heather Fayard and husband, David, Meredith Hale, Michael S. Phillips and wife, Christi, and Jenna P. Murphy and husband, Yale; two great-grandchildren; one brother, John H. Smith and wife, Peggy, both of Natchez; and one sister, Inez Gardner of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Brian Hale, David Fayard, Michael Phillips, Yale Murphy, Adrian Stallone and Prentiss Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Breast Cancer or a charity of choice.
