NATCHEZ — A combination of lackluster offense and poor defense doomed the Cathedral Lady Green Wave to a big loss against the West Lincoln Lady Bears Thursday night in a Region 8-1A contest.

The Lady Green Wave (4-6, 2-2) collected only three hits and made eight errors while the Lady Bears notched seven hits and committed only one error in a 16-2 win.

“We’re a young team,” Cathedral head coach Pam Clayton said. “We have nothing but time, our day will come.”
