FAYETTE – Services for Gloria Jean King, 60, of Fayette, who died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Poplar Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
A memorial presentation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. King was born Feb. 16, 1948, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ellis and Ellen Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mattie Scott Holman; and two brothers, Thomas Scott and Ellis Scott Jr.
Survivors include one loving daughter, Stephanie M. King; two sons, Capt. Stetson King and Samuel King III; two adopted daughters, DanViona King and Keena Scott Njoroge; one sister, Julia Scott; one brother, Herman Scott; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
