Just a note to let the people of Natchez know what kind of man they are getting as Pastor of First Baptist Church.

Dr. Doug Broome, former pastor of First Baptist Church in Yazoo City, will be sorely missed by all Yazooans.

He not only is a great pastor and preacher, he is a first-class citizen and community leader also.

His involvement with the local schools was a great asset for us and I know it will be for all of your schools also.

He led FBC Yazoo City in new directions and accomplished many positive ventures during his tenure here.

He is leaving us; however he will not be forgotten.

Our church is strong and debt free thanks to his strong and loyal leadership and his preaching of God’s word.

I encourage all of the people in Natchez to get know this man, his lovely wife Gwenette, who is an accomplished musician, and their son Bradley.
