JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The attorney general’s office says the criminal case has been dismissed against a woman whose son allegedly murdered his girlfriend last year.

Robbie Bell had been charged as an accomplice in the slaying of Mary Heather Spencer.

Robbie Bell’s son, George Bell III, pleaded guilty in February to the Sept. 10, 2007, attack in which investigators say he kidnapped, sexually assaulted and beat and strangled his girlfriend.
