JACKSON — The Mississippi Legislative Conservative Coalition, a bi-partisan group of 56 legislators, recently presented State Rep. Sam C. Mims V with the “Spirit of the Coalition” Award in recognition of his dedication in promoting conservative legislation. The award was presented at the group’s annual banquet on April 2.

“Sam Mims has shown the courage and willingness to cast the conservative vote, even when it is not easy, said Rep. Sid Bondurant, (D)-Grenada, president of the organization. “He makes the tough vote and not always the popular vote.”

“It’s a distinct honor to be selected for this award by my colleagues in this organization, and I look forward to continuing to do what I can to help move our state, and particularly our region, in the right direction,” Mims said.
