FERRIDAY — The boil water notice Ferriday citizens were placed under Wednesday afternoon was lifted Friday.
Citizens were placed on the notice because Ferriday waterworks had to replace a line that had broken due to corrosion.
State protocol dictates when a water line breaks the water system be put on a boil water notice until water samples can be tested to ensure certain bacteria did not enter the water system through the break.
The results for all six water samples, tested at the Department of Health and Human Resources lab in Shreveport, tested clear for bacteria, Water Superintendent Gregory Griggs said.
