NATCHEZ — No additional arrests were made Thursday in connection with three stolen four-wheelers.
Police Chief Mike Mullins said investigators are still investigating the case.
Six teens were arrested this week on charges of grand larceny of two red Suzuki four-wheelers from the EconoLodge on D’Evereux Drive and one Honda four-wheeler from Pro Transmissions on U.S. 61 South.
The Natchez Democrat originally reported that all six were members of the Natchez High powerlifting team, based on a phone call with team coach Joseph Johnson. School officials provided information Thursday that two of the teens were not on the team.
Ermon Rice, 19, and LeKendrick Kelly, 18, are not on the team and graduated from NHS in years past.
The Democrat regrets these errors and is happy to set the record straight.
