Wood receives three life sentences

VIDALIA — Convicted teen triple-murderer Connor Wood was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences in Seventh District Judicial Court Wednesday.

The condition of the mandatory sentences handed down by Judge Leo Boothe is that they do not come with the possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

Wood was convicted April 16 by a Concordia Parish Jury for the March 14, 2007 death of his parents, John and Geraldine Wood, and 16-year-old neighbor Matthew Whittington.

Wood, who will be 17 in July, was 15 at the time of the murders.
