Ida Stephens

WOODVILLE – Services for Ida F. Stephens, 64, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Field Memorial Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Bleakhouse Baptist Church with the Rev. John H. Scott Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Williams and Williams Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Stephens was born May 31, 1943, the daughter of Jimmie and Martha Jackson. She was a graduate of Wilkinson County High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Bleakhouse Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary and secretary to the church choir. Mrs. Stephens was also a former agent for Standard Burial Association of Natchez.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Wells and husband, Grant, both of Woodville, and Carrie Veals and husband, Raymond, both of Centreville; one son, Calvin Franklin of Woodville; four sisters, Nellie Brown and husband, Sylvester, and Jimmie Stewart, all of Woodville, Leola Edwards of Baton Rouge and Joyce Boyd and husband, Paul, both of Centreville; one brother, Hurbert Jackson and wife, Gale, both of Centreville; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
