CROSBY – Services for Jazmin Jenise Crawford will be noon Saturday at Union Baptist Church, in Perrytown, under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, 1-800-760-3980.
On Aug. 29, 2000, a beautiful baby girl, Jazmin Jenise Crawford, was born to proud parents, Kelvin and Cheryl Crawford.
Jazmin was the youngest among four children. Jazmin was an honor student and second grader at J.R. Thompson Elementary School in Mesquite Independent School District. Jazmin enjoyed playing the role of teacher. One of her favorite gifts received from her mother was a basket of teaching supplies which provided her with many days of instruction. She will be remembered for her long ponytails and her sweet infectious smile.
Jazmin was a member of the Sunday school, praise dancers, children’s choir, youth ushers and youth department at Ebenezer Memorial Missionary Baptist Church where she and her family united in 2006.
Jazmin crossed into glory on April 26, 2008, in Terrell, Texas, with her mother, Cheryl.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving grandmothers, Mary R. Cage of Mesquite, Texas and Dorothy Crawford of Natchez; one grandfather, Harrison “Harry” T. Cage and wife, Barbara, both of Houston; two sisters, Brittany Clark and Tiara Crawford, both of Mesquite; one brother, Kelvin Crawford Jr. of Mesquite; one great-grandmother, Clara Noble of Crosby; two uncles, Denard Crawford of Natchez and Tyrell Crawford of Dallas; two aunts, Tosha Crawford and Vettina Cage; 12 great- uncles; eight great-aunts; one special cousin, Angel Lanus; and a number of cousins, classmates and friends.
Jazmin was preceded in death by her loving father, Kelvin Crawford; one grandfather; two great-grandmothers; three great-grandfathers; nine great-aunts; and three great-uncles.
