LORMAN — Alcorn State (28-14, 15-9 SWAC) will face back-to-back SWAC champs, Prairie View (21-24, 14-10 SWAC) on Wednesday in the first round of the SWAC Baseball Tournament.

The Braves are the No. 2 seed out of the East Division while the Panthers are the No. 3 seed out of the West Division. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Lee Hines Field at Southern University.

The SWAC Baseball Tournament will be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on the campus of Southern University.

The last time the Braves faced the Panthers was in the 2006 SWAC Championship Game in which Prairie View won 3-2.
