NATCHEZ – Services for John Mark Edney, 47, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Josh Whitley officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Edney was born Oct. 6, 1960, in Natchez, the son of Eugene Edney and Mary Edney. He attended high school in Nashville, Tenn. He was employed with United Parcel Service and served 14 years with the U. S. National Guard.
Mr. Edney enjoyed drawing and walking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Wilbert Edney, David Edney and Joseph Edney; two sisters, Margaret Wells and Elizabeth Edney; and two nephews, James Anderson and Henry Edney.
Survivors include three sisters, Clara Wyatt and husband, Charles, Peggy Buie and husband, Dunk, and Cora Edney; four brothers, James Edney and wife, Helen, Daniel Edney, Johnny Edney and Phillip Edney; one aunt, Annie Lane; and one uncle, Henry Harris and wife, Ruby.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Edney, Kevin Arbuthnot, Jerome Anderson, Wilson Arbuthnot, Frank Bacon and Trolas Gooden.
