NATCHEZ – Services for Margaret A. Clanton, 75, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clanton was born Jan. 7, 1933, the daughter of Luther Gill and Lola Mae McKinney Price. She devoted her life as media librarian and children’s director at Morgantown Baptist Church for a number of years. Mrs. Clanton also worked at Adams County Christian School in the cafeteria.
Mrs. Clanton was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John H. “Papa John” Clanton; one daughter, Cathy Gamberi; one great-grandson, Matthew Sanders; and one brother, Ronald “Buddy” Price.
Survivors include one daughter, Kay Franks and husband, James, both of Natchez; two grandchildren, James Franks Jr. and wife, Johnie, both of Tupelo, and Misty Sanders and husband, Mark, both of Brookhaven; four great- grandchildren, McKenna Franks, Maggie Franks, Nash Sanders and Mallory Sanders.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Library Fund at Morgantown Baptist Church.
