Mrs. King was born Oct. 12, 1917, in Natchez, the daughter of Dominic C. and Josephine M. DiStefano. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School and Natchez Commercial School. She was employed as secretary to Bishop Gerow, of the Natchez Catholic Diocese, and as secretary to the director of Mississippi Power and Light Company.
Mrs. King married Cleo F. King, of Brewer, Maine, on June 22, 1942. After her husband returned from service in Europe during World War II, they moved north where they lived in Vermont, Massachusetts and New York before settling for 20 years in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
