NATCHEZ – Services for Ellen Green Hayes, 75, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, in Kingston, with the Rev. Willie R. Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Hayes was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Adams County, the daughter of Major Green Sr. and Ellen Boyd Green. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hayes was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, in Kingston, and was a member of Universal Home Support in Sibley.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lemmie Hayes; one infant daughter, Patricia Hayes; three brothers, George Green, Major Green Jr., and Clarence Green; and one sister, Mattie Johnson.
Survivors include one daughter, Forestine Hayes of Natchez; one brother, Thomas Green of Natchez; and one special niece, Katie Nelson Lewis of New Orleans.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
