VIDALIA – Services for Robert L. “Bobby” Carroll, 64, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. today at Faith Tabernacle Church, in Vidalia, with the Rev. Ronald Hall, the Rev. Jimmy Floyd and the Rev. B.A. Spall officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be until service time today at the church.
Mr. Carroll was born May 15, 1944, in Gilbert, La., the son of Mack Henry Carroll and Easter A. Carroll. He was a lifelong resident of Concordia Parish and was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church. He was a retired oil field worker and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Vidalia.
Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Gracie Carroll; and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Carroll; one son, Robert L. Carroll Jr. and wife, Darlynn, both of Ball, La.; one daughter, Tammy Ragusa and husband, Pete, both of Baton Rouge; two stepchildren, Dana Bolyer of New Roads, La., and Melissa Hale of Vidalia; two brothers, Joe Carroll of Ethel, La., and Jesse Carroll of Enterprise, La.; four sisters, Dorothy Carroll of Baker, La., Lena Blackmon of Texas, Jeannie Walker of Brookhaven and Lois Lott of Baton Rouge; and seven grandchildren, Rob Carroll, Kodie Carroll, Gabe Ragusa, Mikayla Hale, Coy Thompson, Leah Whatley and Hunter Whatley.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
