BUDE – Services for Robert “Bay Bay” Bethley Jr., 54, of Bude, who died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. today at Bude Church of God in Christ, 45 C Street.
Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Whiteapple Road in Roxie, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Bethley was born March 9, 1954, in Franklin County, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Reed Bethley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry Rees and Willie Bethley.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonya Hudson and husband, Tyrone, both of Wilson, N.C., and Leslie Ray and husband, Richard, both of Gulfport; three sons, Mandell Griffin of Duarte, Calif., Victor Bailey of Brookhaven and Robert Bethley III of McComb; four sisters, Bobbie Robinson and husband, Melvin, Rose Pernell and husband, Rudan, and Carla Bethley, all of Bude, and Theresa Daniels and husband, Carl, both of Duarte, Calif.; three brothers, Bruce Bethley of Bude, Kenny Bethley and wife, Maggie, and Lee Andrew Bethley, all of Meadville; one aunt, Mary Byrd and husband, Percy, both of Kirby; two uncles, Jim Reed and Anderson Reed, both of Bude; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
