CLAYTON – Services for Willie Smith Jr., 55, of Ferriday, who died Friday, June 6, 2008, at Rapides General Medical Center, in Alexandria, La., will be at noon Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. David Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Mariah Cemetery, in Frogmore, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith was born Aug. 22, 1952, in Jonesville, the son of Willie Sr. and Esther Norris Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Earline Vaughn Smith; one son, Willie Smith III and wife, LaQunda, both of Duluth, Ga.; one daughter, Sceletia Price of Atlanta; one brother, Andrew Smith; one sister, Georgia Patterson, both of Ferriday; two grandchildren, Despinasia Smith, of Ferriday, and Ashton Smith of Duluth; one aunt; one uncle; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
