Malone accepts program director position at NRMC

Natchez — Scott Phillips, CEO of Natchez Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce Claudia Malone, RN has accepted the position of program director and case coordinator for the hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, located on the fifth floor.
“The Rehabilitation Center at Natchez Regional is a comprehensive inpatient medical rehabilitation program dedicated to providing the care necessary to meet the medical, physical, psychological and social needs of those who have suffered a disabling illness or injury,” Phillips said. “These services are provided in an environment that promotes wellness, confidence and independence; and our hospital is fortunate to have Mrs. Malone’s guidance, compassion and knowledge in the field of rehabilitation leading this program.”
After years of critical care nursing, Malone joined the Rehabilitation Center as the case coordinator, a role which she will continue to do. Her responsibilities include the directing, planning and organizing of the rehabilitation program to ensure it remains compliant with the hospital and medical staff standards set forth by regulatory organizations, including the Joint Commission and Certified Accredited Rehabilitation Facilities.
“The Rehabilitation Center at Natchez Regional is the only inpatient unit of its kind within an 80 mile radius of Natchez. It is a place where those who have suffered a disabling illness or injury will find the opportunity to rebuild their lives,” Phillips said. “Mrs. Malone and her staff of physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as nursing personnel, are committed to helping the patients reach their maximum potential.”
Malone is a graduate of Vidalia High School and Alcorn State University School of Nursing. She is married to Mike Malone, and they are the parents of two grown children and four grandchildren.
