MEADVILLE – Services for Ollie Denise “Sweetie” Briggs, 48, of Kirby, who died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Southwest Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Kirby.
Burial will follow at Briggs Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Briggs was born April 27, 1960, in Jackson, the daughter of Rosie Moore and Troy Burkett.
She was preceded in death her mother and paternal father; and one niece, Tammie McDonald.
Survivors include her loving husband, Elbert Briggs; her father, Forest Moore and wife, Margie, both of Bude; three daughters, Surenthia Purvis, Chonda Briggs and Gretta Harris, all of Kirby; three sons, Javonta Briggs, Elbert Briggs Jr. and Marcus Briggs, all of Kirby; four sisters, Mary McDonald of Meadville, Shelia Briggs of Kirby, Martina Burkett of Magee and Teanna Smith of Bude; four brothers, Don Moore and wife, Shannon, both of Byram, Thomas Moore and wife, Stephanie, both of Bude, Mark Smith and wife, Angie, both of Roxie and Reggie Cameron of New Orleans; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
