Person accepts position at Historic Jefferson College

Natchez — Robin Seage Person has joined the staff of Historic Jefferson College as its newest Branch Director.
Before moving to Natchez, she served for 12 years as the executive director of Cottonlandia Museum in Greenwood.
Prior to that, Person was Assistant Curator of Exhibits at the Old Capitol Museum in Jackson, and also worked for seven years at the Kingman Museum of Natural History, in Battle Creek, Mich.
While at Cottonlandia, she was responsible for designing the state’s largest summer museum educational program, leading continuing education classes for K-8 teachers, implementing an intensive public relations program, curating art shows, and caring for collections and building exhibits.
She has a bachelor’s degree in biology (art history concentration) from Albion College in Albion, Mich. and a master’s degree in history (museum studies) from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Person is on the board of directors for the regional Southeastern Museums Conference, made of up 13 states, and serves as the Treasurer of the Mississippi Museums Association.
She is also a member of the American Association of Museums and the Southeastern Registrar’s Association.
