Great tunes make summer waves

Cool off with a great night of music with the Concordia Parish Library and Concordia Bank at 7 p.m. Thursday.
This will be the last concert of this year’s Decentralized Art Grant Community Concert Series.
The only things that will be smoking hot are the two baby grands that will be played by Dr. Willis Deloney and Jan Grimes.
Both musicians are professors from the LSU School of Music and are returning to Concordia Parish as favorites.
Dr. Deloney has won national and international acclaim as a jazz and classical pianist, conductor, chamber player, commercial composer, and arranger.
He is a recipient of the Artist Fellowship by the Louisiana Division of the Arts in recognition of his achievements in classical and jazz performance.
Jan Grimes performances have taken her to Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Constitution Hall, as well as stages at universities and community centers across the United States and Canada.
Don’t miss this hot performance as they showcase their talent on two baby grand pianos.
This performance is sponsored by the Louisiana Division of the Arts and the Community Service Club.
Pauline Jones is a supporter of the Concordia Parish libraries.
