NATCHEZ — A Natchez Police patrol car was placed out of commission Monday night after it was involved in an accident.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., the 2005 Crown Victoria police cruiser driven by officer Bryan Seyferth was struck by the 2005 Pontiac G6 driven by Nicole White at the intersection of Seargent S. Prentiss Drive and John R. Junkin Drive, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
Seyferth was driving through the intersection from the south at a low speed with blue lights and siren engaged, responding to a call when the Pontiac, which was eastbound, struck it on the left back bumper, Mullins said.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, but no serious injuries were reported from the accident, Mullins said.
