DOLOROSO — Services for Jimmie Dennis Sr., 84, of Doloroso, who died Monday, June 16, 2008, at his residence, will be at noon Saturday at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dandridge Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Dennis was born March 24, 1924, in Woodville, the son of Mose and Annette Burns Dennis.

He was a heavy equipment operator and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ruth Ann Floyd Dennis.

Survivors include three children, Jimmie Dennis Jr., Kathy Dennis and Chetiffney Dennis, all of Doloroso; three brothers, Arthur Dennis and wife, Annie, both of Valinda, Calif., Prince Dennis of Baton Rouge and Henry Dennis of Sibley; and four godchildren.
